Jannes Book is a Bestseller in Germany!

This week at number 12 on the “DER SPIEGEL”-Bestsellerliste. An unbelievable success for that book (“Königsadler”), in which Janne talks openly about his sport, alcohol, his life and extreme diets.
His success at the Four Hills Tour gave that book an extra boost, but reviews regarding the 280 pages are also very positive.
Authors Pekka Holopainen and Janne have added a new chapter to their book after the Four Hills Tour and the 4th revised edition has been published on January 14th.
If you are interested in signed copy, than you will have to come to Oberstdorf to the Team Tour/Ski Flying on January 29/30th and 31st , the Fan Shop there has a few signed books by Janne available.

Janne´s comments after the Four Hills Tour
"I am more than happy with my performance. Now it is easy to say that I lost the win because of the bad 1st jumps in Oberstdorf and Garmisch, but this is the main thing in the tour; you have to jump well all the 8 jumps.
I was little bit disappointed because I had the 1st win in the last competition nearly in my hand , but the Morgi was 0,7 points better. It is enough.
Once more I am very happy that I have so many fans in Germany and Austria.
The support during the week was awsome!
One of my Finnish friend was calculating my average place in the Four Hill Tour. The last 15 Tours my avearge position is 6,1 and all my tours inculeded 9,12. It is quite amasing to look that history afterwards."

2nd Place in the Four Hills Tournament Final
Bischofshofen (AUT)
Janne was moving 14 points to Kofler with his first round jump. But the distance proved enough of a cushion for Kofler as he became the eighth Austrian to lift the prestigious title.
For Janne the tour was already successful and we're looking forward to the next events.
Janne's comments today (05.01.2010) - Qualification in Bischofshofen (AUT)
"I did not want to do the qualification because I know the hill super well and it is my favourite place to jump. I am ready for tomorrow and I am not nervous at all.
I dont have anything to loose, but the Austrian boys need to win and for me the whole Four Hills Tour is already a hudge success !
Already now I want to thank all my great fans in Germany and the Four Hills Tour organizsers for a super warm and nice tour."

Oberstdorf (GER) - Four Hills Tournament
Janne Ahonen, who has won the competition five times, came in second
with jumps of 116.5 meters and 137 meters (253.3 points).
His form
suggests he could stand a chance of winning a gold medal at the
Vancouver games in February.

"After my retirement in march 2008 if've not been jumping for over one year. During this period my motivation for skijumping came back.
The Four Hills Tournament ist one of the major events this season. Therefore i want to be successful in it!"

We should keep in mind the Tournament's legend Janne Ahonen from Finland. The eagle from Lahti, who won the Tournament five times as first ski jumper ever, is going to start his comeback this winter.
